I tried compatibility mode, but it still did not work. However, It produced an error with the licensing since the OS was already different. As far as HP, they’re just directing customers to Win 10 update. They do not seem to even be working on fix, which makes me wonder about their new products that already have Win 10 installed.

Hopefully, the problem will be fixed with the next Win 10 anniversary update. I think HP should make an effort to provide an update for their software. Hi, Thanks for your post. Unplug any audio devices connected to your system. Make sure you only right-click on the Audio driver and nothing else, and then, Uninstall. In Control Panel to uninstall programs, check if your audio driver is listed there, and uninstall it as well.

Now, make sure you disconnect your system from the internet. Restart your system and give it enough time to boot-up completely without any internet connection.

That is where your original HP software drivers and updates are installed. Open the folder by double-clicking it. Look for folder DRV and open it. Now, you should find a folder named with the version number of your original IDT audio driver. Open it, then open the folder src. Do not rush with restarting the system to give the drive enough time to initialize the ports.

Do not connect and audio devices either for now. Restart your system and wait for it to fully boot-up.
